Soft-sealed butterfly valves are generally of mid-line structure, mainly composed of soft-sealed butterfly valves and actuators. According to the sealing structure, they can be divided into flange butterfly valves and wafer butterfly valves according to the working conditions. Its sealing structure adopts various rubbers such as EPDM (ethylene propylene rubber), nitrile rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc., with good sealing performance (up to zero leakage). The electric soft sealing butterfly valve is generally used in normal temperature environment and low and medium pressure places with temperature ≤200°C and nominal pressure ≤1.6Mpa. Due to the limitation of structural characteristics, it is not suitable for applications in industries such as high temperature resistance, high pressure, and wear resistance. It is widely used in water treatment, environmental protection, petroleum, chemical, and other pipelines to regulate flow or cut off media.
Features of soft dense butterfly valve:
(1) The structure is simple, the flow resistance coefficient is small, the flow characteristics tend to be straight, and no debris will be retained.
(2) The connection between the butterfly plate and the valve stem adopts a pinless structure, which overcomes possible internal leakage points.
(3) According to the structure, it can be divided into electric flange butterfly valve and electric wafer butterfly valve to meet different industrial pipelines.
(4) The seals can be returned and replaced, and the sealing performance is reliable to achieve two-way sealing with zero leakage.
